RCAST is engaged in the world largest gene expression analysis to discover target proteins for the treatment of cancer and other diseases. RCAST also successfully developed techniques to prepare membrane proteins, which was difficult by conventional technologies, and elucidated the molecular mechanism of arteriosclerosis and pathologic vascularization.
By closely working together with the leading scientists at RCAST, FPR intends to further accelerate its drug discovery efforts in such field as monoclonal antibody for therapeutic targets.
The progress of research at FPR is reviewed periodically by the experts of RCAST and their views and ideas are incorporated in FPR's program agenda.
PharmaLogicals Research Ptd. Ltd. (PLR)
PLR, a Singapore-based research joint venture, was founded in 2002 by Chugai, Mitsui and CIEA. PLR has been pursuing more effective approaches for antibody drug discovery by utilizing disease and gene analysis, pathophysiological studies and genome informatics. In an attempt to capitalize on PLR's research outcomes on pathophysiological proteomics, FPR develops further research to explore seeds of new drugs in collaboration with RCAST and other institutes.
